About Us

Hi! My name is Ella Daniel, and I am the owner of Peace of Love Cookie Co. I am currently studying Business Administration at North Carolina State University. Go Wolfpack!

My love for baking has persisted throughout my life. As a young girl, I watched cooking shows instead of cartoons and asked for mixing bowls instead of dolls. During COVID, I rediscovered my love for baking and decided to try my hand at custom sugar cookies. With a lot of time to practice, I became better and better. One Sunday night, my mom posted my cookies on Facebook, and the next morning I woke up to over 30 orders. The orders never really stopped, and it is hard to believe that my my little cookie business is turning 6 this year! 

When deciding on a name for my business, I reflected on who and what inspires me. It didn't take long for me to think of my longtime friend, Katie Blake. Katie and I have been friends since kindergarten. She is honest, kind, encouraging and fiercely loyal. Katie embodies true friendship and the goodness in the world. She also happens to have Down Syndrome. I aspire to make people feel the same way that Katie makes me feel; loved, included and accepted for who I am. So when it came time to pick a name, "Peace of Love" simply fell into my lap. A phrase that Katie and I say all the time, that perfectly describes what each of my cookies is; a PEACE of love.

Making the world a kinder, more accepting place has always been a priority of mine. Since the eighth grade, I have committed to donating 10% of my profits to a company, organization, or person who strives to make the world a better place. I have since had the honor of making eight donations that support inclusivity for people with different needs, families of children's hospital patients, and cancer survivors.

I am humbled to be a small part of so many people's special life celebrations. It means so much to me that I have the opportunity to do what I love while also giving back to the community. This business has grown up alongside me and the unwaivering support from customers is truly overwhelming.
